Dr. Neeru Bansal is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Planning, CEPT University, Ahmedabad.  She is a civil engineer and urban planner with a doctorate in ‘Industrial Development and Water Pollution’.  She has over 25 years of professional experience spreading across governance, research and academics.  Before joining academia in 2009, she worked for 13 years with the State Pollution Control Board, Gujarat, which is the only regulatory body at the state level for the implementation of the environmental legislation, monitoring of industries and environmental quality in urban and industrial areas.  Her main interest areas include environment and infrastructure planning, environmental policy and laws, EIA, environmental governance, sustainable development, renewable energy, environmental quality, climate change etc.  She has been involved in several research and consultancy assignments spread across these areas and has published extensively on these topics.
