Arun is an Architect-Urban Planner with over 11 years of experience on projects in the field of urban planning, urban design, heritage conservation, and regeneration of historic urban settlements and sites of cultural importance. Skilled in conducting in-depth research, he has authored several technical reports, designed impactful communication tools for simplifying complex planning concepts for education and awareness. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi, and a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from CEPT University, Ahmedabad.

His professional portfolio includes projects like Nizamuddin Urban Renewal Initiative with AKTC India, where he was instrumental in implementing urban design and planning proposals. Some of his recent works are focused on creating urban design guidelines for Chennai, creating SOPs for the preparation of Local Area Plans in Assam. He extensively worked on several urban projects, including Dhal ni Pol Revitalisation, Nagaki City Masterplan, Study on guidelines for improving the TDR mechanism for Indian cities, Study on Heritage Bye-Laws of Ahmedabad, Development Plan of Khalapur Nagar Panchayat, and Conservation Management Plan for Kalka Shimla Railway.

Alongside his varied professional experience, Arun also mentors students at CEPT University in the Master of Urban Planning programme, where he teaches preparation of Development Plans, TP Schemes, and Local Area Plans.
