Kasturi has been associated with CWAS since 2014. She is involved in research and implementation of activities in the field of sanitation. She has been primarily supporting the implementation of city sanitation plans in small towns of Maharashtra which involves making cities open defecation free and implementation of faecal sludge and septage management programs. She has done her Masters in Planning (Urban and Regional Planning) from CEPT University, Ahmedabad and Bachelors in Architecture from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur.
