Niki is an Architect and Urban Designer with over 22 years of professional experience in architecture, urban design, landscape, and planning. As Director of Urban Design at HCP Design, Planning and Management Pvt. Ltd., he leads the firm’s Urbanism Studio, guiding complex urban development projects across India and internationally.
He holds a B.Arch. from M.S. University of Baroda and an M.Sc. in Urbanism (Cum Laude) from TU Delft, supported by the HSP Huygens Scholarship. His project portfolio includes landmark assignments such as the Sabarmati Riverfront, Mumbai Port Redevelopment, Central Vista Redevelopment, and the Amochhu Township in Bhutan.
Niki’s expertise spans waterfronts, TODs, street design, public spaces, and integrated township planning. His design leadership is complemented by ongoing research on urban morphology, regulatory impacts, and street transformation.
In addition to professional practice, he contributes to academia through studio mentorship, research supervision, and jury roles at institutions like CEPT University and MSU Baroda.
