Pooja Paghadar is an Urban and Transport Planner with more than eight years of experience in transport planning. She is currently a Senior Transport Planner at the Centre of Excellence in Urban Transport, CRDF. She holds a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning (M.U.R.P.) with a specialization in Transportation Planning and a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning from CEPT University, Ahmedabad.
Pooja began her career as an Assistant Manager at DIMTS, Delhi Government, where she made significant contributions to urban transport planning. Her work included feasibility studies, detailed project reports for bus route rationalization, public travel demand forecasting, regional rapid transit planning, urban freight transport and logistics management planning and multimodal integration plans.
Currently, Pooja is involved in the PMe-Bus Scheme project, providing technical support to GUDM, Gujarat. Her recent projects include the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP) for the Greater Ahmedabad region, the UK Partnering for Accelerated Climate Transitions (UK PACT) for the electrification of intermediate public transport in Mahesana, bus priority measures for Chandigarh and Jabalpur, and the National Capacity Building Programme, planning for Statue of Unity bus routes, and the parking and traffic circulation plan for Ahmedabad junction railway station. She plays a key role in technical tasks and liaising with stakeholders to develop strategies for sustainable urban transport.
