Dr. Rohit Rathod, is a Transport Planner at CRDF, where he leads key work streams under the Ahmedabad Comprehensive Mobility Plan (CMP), including transport network assessment, station area development, accident zone studies, CCTV-based traffic analysis, and junction design. He is also engaged in junction improvement and redesign projects for the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC).
He holds a PhD in Civil Engineering from Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat, along with a Master's degree in Transportation Engineering and Planning and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
Prior to joining CRDF, Rohit worked as a Junior Transport Planner at Facile Maven Pvt. Ltd., contributing to projects for the Surat Municipal Corporation, and as a Senior Project Engineer at the Research and Consultancy Cell, SVNIT, where he worked on feasibility studies for new BRTS routes and other transport planning assignments.
His research and professional interests span public transport planning, traffic engineering, travel demand modelling, road safety, and transport accessibility. He has published his research in peer-reviewed international journals and presented his work at national and international conferences.
