Suyash Rai is a Deputy Director and Fellow at Carnegie Endowment for International Peace (India). He works on the political economy of economic reforms, and the performance of public institutions in India. He has previously worked at the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy, Dvara Trust, and ICICI Bank. He has also held consulting positions with the Union Ministry of Finance and the World Bank. His writings have appeared in publications such as the IMF Working Paper Series, the ADB Working Paper Series, Wall Street Journal, Seminar Magazine, and the Indian Express.
