Vishal Kundra is an urban planner and designer with over two decades of international experience spanning the U.S., India, Southeast Asia, China, and the Middle East. His work ranges from neighborhood-scale design to strategic frameworks for emerging and existing cities.

With a focus on people-centric and inclusive development, his expertise includes master planning of greenfield and brownfield sites, smart city strategies, sustainable mobility, waterfront revitalization, and placemaking. He emphasizes participatory planning, stakeholder engagement, and translating complex ideas into practical, implementable solutions.

Vishal holds a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor’s in Building Science and Technology from CEPT University. His practice combines design thinking with data-driven methods and policy formulation to support governments, agencies, and private clients in shaping responsive urban environments.

Currently based in India, he continues to lead and advise on multidisciplinary urban initiatives, bringing together planning, design, and strategy to support sustainable and equitable development.
