About CEPT University and The CEPT Research and Development Foundation (CRDF):

CEPT University, established in 1962, is focused on understanding, designing, planning, constructing, and managing human habitats. Its teaching programs are designed to build thoughtful professionals, and its research programs aim to deepen the understanding of human habitat. The CEPT Research and Development Foundation (CRDF) is a multidisciplinary think-do-tank promoted by CEPT University. After over four decades of consultancy, research, and advisory work, the university established CRDF in 2013 under Section 8 of the Companies Act 2013 (non-profit company) to undertake and manage the increasing volumes of research work in the domain.

The Centre for Advanced Research in Building Science and Energy (CARBSE) aims to advance research and development in energy and habitat initiatives. We leverage building science principles to address current and future challenges faced by our communities and cities. Our multidisciplinary efforts focus on providing scientifically validated insights for policymaking, supporting and developing design and technology, and facilitating knowledge exchange to enhance human capacity.

About the Architect Position:

CARBSE is seeking applications for two full-time Architects with a strong interest in building science, thermal comfort, building energy efficiency and climate-responsive design. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to impactful research through technical illustrations, scientific infographics, field surveys and documentation that support research, policy and capacity-building initiatives. The selected candidates will work alongside multidisciplinary research teams while utilizing CARBSE's state-of-the-art laboratories, testing facilities and infrastructure.

To be eligible to apply, candidates must hold a Bachelor's or a Master’s degree in Architecture or a similar related field.

·       0–2 years of experience. Fresh graduates with an excellent academic record are encouraged to apply.

·       Conduct site surveys, field measurements, data collection and photographic documentation to support research projects in building science, climate, energy, and the built environment.

·       Prepare architectural drawings, technical illustrations, scientific infographics, and visual documentation for research publications, technical reports, proposals, presentations and other formats.

·       Collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams to translate complex scientific concepts into clear visual outputs and support the documentation of laboratory facilities, experimental setups, and field installations.

·       Organize and maintain drawings, photographs, and technical documentation generated through research activities.

·       Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite is essential. Experience with additional visualization software will be an added advantage.
