ABOUT COE-UT, CRDF

The Centre of Excellence for Urban Transport (CoE-UT) at CEPT Research and Development Foundation (CRDF) works with government agencies, urban local bodies, and other stakeholders on projects related to urban transport planning, policy, and implementation. The Centre undertakes field-based research, data-driven studies, and advisory support for sustainable urban mobility.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The intern will support the CoE-UT team in the planning, monitoring, and execution of ongoing survey-based studies, along with related data management, analysis, and coordination activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the monitoring and management of field surveys, including planning, scheduling, and tracking survey
    progress
  • Coordinate with field surveyors/enumerators to ensure timely and quality data collection
  • Carry out data punching of survey/field data into designated formats and systems
  • Perform data cleaning, validation, and analysis to support project deliverables
  • Coordinate with clients on day-to-day project requirements and deliverables
  • Support stakeholder discussions and meetings, including preparation of notes and follow-ups
  • Assist the project team with any other related tasks as required

DESIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Urban Planning, Transport Planning, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field
  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel; familiarity with data analysis tools is an advantage
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort with structured data entry
  • Good communication skills for client and stakeholder coordination
  • Willingness to travel for field-based survey monitoring, as required
