CEPT University, established in 1962, is focused on understanding, designing, planning, constructing, and managing human habitats. Its teaching programs are designed to build thoughtful professionals, and its research programs aim to deepen the understanding of human habitat. The CEPT Research and Development Foundation (CRDF) is a multidisciplinary think-do-tank promoted by CEPT University. After over four decades of consultancy, research, and advisory work, the university established CRDF in 2013 under Section 8 of the Companies Act 2013 (non-profit company), to undertake and manage the increasing volumes of research work in the domain.

About the Research Associate Position:

CARBSE is seeking applications for a full-time Research Associate focused on efficient cooling solutions. This role is ideal for young professionals with a strong interest in working in thermal comfort, building energy efficiency, and developing innovative cooling technologies. The position offers an opportunity to engage in impactful research that addresses energy efficiency challenges in the built environment and explores cooling solutions for modern buildings, utilizing state-of-the-art testing facilities and infrastructure for practical insights and advancements.

To be eligible to apply, candidates must hold a Bachelor's OR a Master’s degree in electrical, Thermal, Mechanical Engineering, OR a similar related field.

Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of experience, OR a Master’s degree with no prior experience. Experience is a plus.

·       Install small mechanical or electrical systems and equipment in laboratory or residential settings and create detailed reports on system performance and any issues encountered.

·       Collaborate with technicians to complete projects, effectively communicating project status and challenges to team members and supervisors.

·       Supervise routine electrical wiring and systems maintenance to ensure optimal performance and safety, using diagnostic tools and techniques to identify electrical issues.

·       Conduct tests to verify that mechanical and air-conditioning systems operate efficiently and safely, assisting in the design of these mechanical systems.

·       Proficiency in computer applications is beneficial, and expertise in refrigeration systems or building management systems is a plus.
