Research Scholar – CAG

Role Overview

The Centre for Applied Geomatics (CAG) undertakes applied research and capacity-building in geospatial technology and land systems. The Research Scholar will support research execution, documentation, and analytical work, and contribute to training, outreach, and reporting activities.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support flagship research studies under guidance of senior researchers.
  • Prepare research notes, policy briefs, technical documents, and case studies.
  • Assist in qualitative and quantitative data analysis and documentation.
  • Support development of training materials and organisation of workshops and webinars.
  • Contribute to baseline studies, impact assessments, and periodic reports.

Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in GIS, Geomatics, Geospatial Technology, Geography, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of relevant research or documentation experience.
  • Proficiency in GIS software; exposure to applied research is desirable.
