The seminar on “Preserving Architectural Heritage: Unveiling Informal Conservation Practices,” chaired by Prof. Gehan Selim, Head of Leeds Architecture and Urbanism Research, School of Civil Engineering, University of Leeds held on 2nd September'2024. Prof. Jigna Desai delivered the keynote lecture on "Heritage Conservation Upside Down," discussing heritage places that matter to the people in the context of the global south. The talk navigates through the CHC's initiative of the Conservation Site School and policies, processes, and support from the formal sector, government, institutes, organizations, and official bodies that help conserve the heritage places that matter to the people.
