Idea Behind the Art Competition — 2023

We present the 3rd edition of the 'Idea Behind the Art' competition, a platform celebrating the fusion of art and urban spaces. This competition is held annually to raise awareness about issues relating to the built environment and explore your creativity to present high-quality visual content.

This year's theme, 'Networking Cities', emphasises on the interconnectedness and collaboration between urban spaces. The competition aims to gather innovative ideas and solutions that harness the power of technology and connectivity to create intelligent and sustainable cities.

Whether you are a technology enthusiast, an urban planner, an entrepreneur, or a creative thinker, we invite you to participate and contribute to the development of Networking Cities. This competition provides a platform for you to showcase your ideas and make a tangible impact on how our cities function. 

Eligibility

• Open to anyone above the age of 18
• Individual submissions only
• Candidates can apply to the CRDF ' Idea Behind the Art' competition for a maximum of two years. However, those awarded a position in any year will automatically be ineligible for the subsequent years.

Guidelines

• Acceptable art formats are painting, sculpture, graphic design, illustration, comic strips, video essays, and mixed-media art to be shared by filling out the form.  
• Each participant can submit a maximum of two visuals.
• A panel of three unbiased eminent jurors will review them and select the winning entries.
• A 100-words writeup articulating the idea behind the art.
• The writing should be clear, compelling, and connect to larger audiences than the design community.
• The competition is open to students of universities/colleges/institutes, professionals and artists nationwide.

Prize

The prize money of Rs. 1 lakh shall be distributed among the declared competition winners (T&C Apply).

The last date of submission is 31st July 2023.
