Mobilogues: Topic 6 - E-Mobility Transition in India

Electric vehicles (EVs) are addressing concerns like GHG emissions, dependency on crude oil, and poor urban air quality. The automotive industry is experiencing a paradigm shift from ICE vehicles to EVs and there are efforts being made among the public and private stakeholders to achieve maturity of this sector.

The SMART-SUT Mobilogues Series is a part of the National Capacity Building Programme organised by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), jointly supported by GIZ India and CRDF, CEPT University.

The Mobilogue aims to discuss various aspects of electric mobility (EM) such as EM strategies, E-Bus routes, preparedness assessment for EM in cities, and innovative financial models. It will also discuss India’s experience of EV adoption and the existing challenges and opportunities that can strengthen the evolving EV ecosystem.
