Lecture by Abhay Ambati on "Smart Buildings” organised by Centre for Advanced Research in Building Science and Energy, CEPT University, Ahmedabad

The webinar will leverage three global paradigms namely, growth of Smarter Cities, transformations in the Grid, and the advent of Shared Economy to build a case to develop and operate, connected, grid-interactive, energy-efficient buildings. Being the single largest consumer of electricity, enabling and operating smarter buildings directly helps mitigate carbon emissions.

Abhay Ambati, works with Logical Buildings as SVP Technology Services. He enables Smart Buildings and has over a decade of experience working on 800+ multi-family, commercial, and industrial buildings globally. He is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology’s Architecture program, a graduate of New York University, with professional certifications in Occupant Wellness, Green Buildings, Building Energy Analysis, Building Energy Auditing, Wireless Protocols, and Project Management. He regularly participates in discussions with grid operators (PJM, NY-ISO, NE-ISO etc.), state energy research bodies (NYSERDA, Mass Save), sustainability organizations (USGBC, BPI, Advanced Energy Group, ULI), tech bodies (NY-BEST, CWNP, CTA, etc.) and electric distribution companies nationwide.
