The lecture will outline the use of energy that helped the human race to move from being hunter-gatherers to the current societal form. It will narrate the impact of indiscriminate use of energy, that has potential to de-construct our current social framework. The lecture will focus on buildings and cities.

Shubhashis is a climate change and energy efficiency expert with experience in providing advisory services to governmental agencies, multilateral / bilateral organizations and business in India, Indonesia, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Mauritius, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, England and Jordan. He is Associate Director – Energy Efficiency at Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation.
