Training of Teachers (ToT) Program

International Finance Corporation (IFC) and CEPT Research and Development Foundation (CRDF) are jointly offering the Training of Teachers (ToT) program to train faculty to deliver ‘Designing for Greater Efficiency’ - An IFC EDGE Course to design resource-efficient architecture. Designing for Greater Efficiency [DfGE] is a course offered by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, to promote awareness and understanding of Green Building among university students, the leaders of tomorrow, and enable them to design resource-efficient architecture. The ToT program is designed to train tutors of higher education institutes (HEI) to deliver DfGE with high-level educational content to the students at their respective institutions in the domain of climate-friendly energy-efficient built habitat.

We are conducting two such programs during May 2021. The first four-day program is scheduled from 19th – 22nd May 2021 and the second three-day program is scheduled from 27th – 29th May 2021. The program content includes lectures, demonstration, site visits and discussion on the education pedagogy that trains and elaborates on the DfGE core content with relevant localisations. The four-day program will discuss the content more in detail as against the three-day program.

The selection of the participant is based on merit. We request you to nominate two tutors from your academic team. Please contact ashajoshi@cept.ac.in for the application package which includes Form A [to be filled by institutions] & Form B [to be filled by the individual faculty] and IFC DfGE University Course Handout [for the DfGE course information]. The duly filled application forms A & B should be sent to ashajoshi@cept.ac.in before 12th March 2021.
