Center for Heritage Conservation, CRDF organised the Young Heritage Explorers' Program in collaboration with The Hive on 19th, 26th and 3rd July for school students (8-14 years). The details for the workshops are as follows -
1) Workshop 1 - Waterworks (Sunday, June 19th, 8 am - 11 am) exploring how ancestors got water.
2) Workshop 2 - Map-ematics (Sunday, June 26th, 10 am - 12noon) Knowing about where the city of Ahmedabad has been, where it is now and where we will go ahead through maps.
3) Workshop 3 - Fort-ified (Sunday, July 3rd, 9am - 11am) Stories of Ahmedabad's walls and gates.
The participants were exposed to the history and the functioning of stepwells with on site interactive activities. They explored the older maps of the World Heritage City of Ahmedabad and also understood the construction, significance and architecture of the fort walls of the city.
