CHC organised a seminar on the cultural heritage of Dharmaj

A seminar on the cultural heritage of Dharmaj was organised at the M.D. Sarvajanik Pustakalya (Public Library) at Dharmaj. The seminar showcased ongoing and past research work at Dharmaj through a series of talks by Dr. Jigna Desai and CHC team. Participants were introduced to Dharmaj Heritage Collaborative.  They were informed about the architectural heritage of Dharmaj and the work done through CEPT Conservation Site School at Dharmaj.  The team spoke about Avichal Heritage Foundation and traced the roots of the Patel families in Dharmaj. A research study was presented on Transnational migrant subjectivities and belongings – Case of Dharmaj.  Participants were shown excerpts of a documentary on marriage and migration among the Patidars.
