CRDF is consulting ADB for the project ‘Enabling the Ecosystem to Improve Access to Green Affordable Housing for Women - Capacity Building’, coordinated by IIFL Home Finance Ltd. CRDF will deliver training and capacity building activities pertaining to aspects of green affordable housing for all stakeholders of the housing value chain. A project kick-off meeting between CRDF, IIFL and Gravity Concepts was organized in October 2021 at CEPT University. The approach, methodology and detailed plan of action were discussed and synergies between activities under the project were identified. CRDF presented course structures, learning objectives, potential stakeholders and a detailed work plan. The team members along with experts - Mr. Monu Ratra, ED and CEO, IIFL Home Finance Ltd. and eminent architect Mr. Ashok B. Lall - discussed notions of green affordable housing, the importance of addressing the self-built segment of housing, and required innovative pedagogical tools. The grant fund was received from the Urban Climate Change Resilience Trust Fund (UCCRTF) financed by the Rockefeller Foundation and the Governments of Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
