Prof. Shivanand Swamy presented on integrated transport for sustainable mobility

Prof. Shivanand Swamy, Director Emeritus, Center of Excellence in Urban Transport (CoE-UT) delivered a talk on ‘Integrated Transport – The way towards sustainable mobility.’  He spoke during the ‘Travel in Cities – Ensuring Integrated Sustainable Mobility’ webinar.  It was organized by the AIC SURATi iLAB Foundation of Smart City Surat (SMC) and Institute of Urban Transport (India) – Regional Chapter (Gujarat – Rajasthan).  In his presentation, Prof. Swamy talked about the existing integrated public transport system of Surat, transit-ready streets, public transport system electrification, and a recently prepared comprehensive mobility plan for 2046.  It will pave a way for a people-centric, environmentally sustainable and efficient mobility plan for Surat.
