Stakeholder consultation meeting for Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan for Greater Ahmedabad

AFD (French Development Agency) has initiated preparation of Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP) for Ahmedabad under MYC.  As part of this, CoE-UT along with TRANSITEC and SUEZ organised a stakeholder consultation meeting for the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP) for Greater Ahmedabad with the help of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) to discuss and validate the SUMP strategy formulation and action plan with the Task Force Group. 

Presentations by the project team on the current urban mobility challenges in the Greater Ahmedabad region, visioning, and urban mobility strategy formulation facilitated discussion among the city’s decision-makers.  About 40 stakeholders from Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority, AMC, Ahmedabad Traffic Police, Railway and others joined.  The meeting enabled an in-depth discussion on strategic choices and orientations for future urban transport networks and contributed key considerations for further SUMP process.
