Improving Procurement Processes - Standard Specifications for Building and Civil Engineering (Infrastructure) Projects
The Center of Excellence in Urban Infrastructure (CoE-INFRA) at CEPT Research and Development Foundation, which is part of CEPT University, a leading private university in the domain of built habitat is working on an ambitious project of improving procurement processes. As part of this project, we are creating an online portal that will cover a comprehensive set of Standard Specifications for various construction works including Buildings and Civil Engineering Projects/Infrastructure Projects etc. which can be used PAN India. This specification is intended to cover two volumes which will cover most of the Civil engineering/Infrastructure and Building projects. The intent is to improve the quality and cost-effectiveness of construction projects. There will be clear guidelines for usage as well as pointers towards sources of further information to enable construction professionals to customise the document as needed. The end products will be released on a portal that will enable construction professionals to download the documents. We invite all the Civil Engineers, Architects, Consultants, Construction Project Clients, Services Consultants, Project Management Consultants, Suppliers, etc. to be a part of this pioneering project by submitting your Product specifications, Project Specifications, Case studies. You will be given credit for the submission.

As a part of the above-mentioned project, we are also doing research on the current issues faced by various construction professionals in their projects. Through this survey, we wish to know about the experiences in the Industry of the Contractors, Consultants, Builders, Civil Engineers, Architects, Consultants, Construction Project Clients, Services Consultants, Project Management Consultants, etc. in terms of specifications, conditions of contract and procurement processes. It is aimed at understanding the issues these professionals face in the construction industry in the use of these documents. Hence, we invite all the professionals to fill this survey form.
