Center of Excellence in Urban Transport, along with partners Gujarat Energy Research Management Institute (GERMI), University of Leeds, UK and Brunel University, UK, have undertaken the project “Strategy and Action Plan for Electrification of Public Transport and Intermediate Public Transport in the Indian Cities". This initiative is supported under the UK PACT programme and focuses on the cities of Ahmedabad and Mehsana in Gujarat.

Despite the growing popularity of electric vehicles, the adoption of EVs in the 3W segment remains surprisingly low. The video showcase featured interviews with e-auto drivers from Ahmedabad and Mehsana to generate awareness regarding electric three-wheelers. These drivers share their experiences regarding driving, charging, cost-effectiveness, and financing electric autos. Their first-hand experience provides valuable insights for all conventional autorickshaw drivers.
