Shivanand Swamy's presentation for 'Decarbonizing transport: Beyond cars and internal combustion engines' webinar

Shivanand Swamy, Executive Director, CoE-UT was invited for a webinar 'Decarbonizing transport: Beyond cars and internal combustion engines' hosted by Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) on 17th December, 2020. His presentation focused on how India can scale up strategies to decarbonise transport and the role of urban planning, economic progress, and environment sustainability. He also spoke on the burdened urban public transportation systems and compared systems of developing and developed countries. What it takes to decarbonise transport at a scale and speed: Lessons from current experience with transportation policies and ways to bridge the implementation gap, are some of the key highlights of his presentation.
