About lecture
Efficient distribution of cool air is important to minimize the energy use of building air conditioning systems. Variable Air Volume (VAV) air distribution systems have been found to provide significant energy savings compared to the traditional (such as constant air volume (CAV)) air distribution systems. The distinguished lecturer of ASHRAE RAL, Mr. Krishnan, will first explain the fundamentals of variable air volume (VAV) air distribution systems. He will further explain various configurations as well as advances in the variable air volume (VAV) air distribution systems. He will also provide an overview of ASHRAE technical committees (TC) where the students, as well as professionals, can actively participate to better understand the next generation of air conditioning systems and air distribution components.
