NIGST Hyderabad
A three-day national training programme on Geospatial Data Standards was jointly organised by the Survey of India (NIGST) and the CEPT Research and Development Foundation (CRDF), CEPT University, from 1–3 July 2026 at NIGST, Hyderabad.
The programme brought together 31 officers from the Survey of India, representing Geodetic Directorates and specialised wings across the country. Led by 13 distinguished experts from the Survey of India, the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC), international academic institutions, and CRDF's Center for Applied Geomatics (CAG), the training aimed to bridge the gap between geospatial standards and their practical implementation in operational workflows.
