Centre for Heritage Conservation (CHC) and Kala Chaupal have collaborated in an effort named Bulandshahr Heritage Conservation Initiative (BHCI). The aim of the initiative is to research, document, conserve and safeguard the rich cultural heritage of 19th century colonial Bulandshahr.

Bulandshahr Heritage Conservation Initiative (BHCI) is organizing a webinar on 'Understanding the architectural heritage of Colonial Bulandshahr' on 28th January 2022 from 4:30 to 6:00 pm IST.

The webinar will include an introduction by Dr. Jigna Desai of CHC, followed by Kala Chaupal & its ongoing activities by Leenika Jacob (Managing Trustee, Kala Chaupal). Venugopal Maddipati (PhD, Assistant Professor, School of Design, Ambedkar University) will narrate about Frederick Growse and the architectural experience of Colonial Bulandshahr (1878-1886). Jonathan Kennedy (Director Arts -British Council, India) will talk about India-UK shared cultural heritage. Shradha Arora (Co-ordinator BHCI) will introduce CEPT's DRP on Bulandshahr. There will be an open discussion at the end.
