The Center for Applied Geomatics (CAG), CRDF launched a podcast series on 'Data for Disaster Risk Reduction.' The six-episode series will go in-depth into the systematic use of data for handling disasters and making decisions for post-disaster recovery. Each podcast episode will be having eminent thinkers and practitioners who will engage in meaningful discussions and offer their knowledge, case studies, and solutions to mitigate disaster risks. It aims to understand how data plays a critical role at stages of the disaster management cycle - Preparedness, Response, and Recovery. CAG, CODATA and Tonkin & Taylor are jointly hosting this series. The series comes after two successful series on data by CAG - Data for Resilient Cities and Data-Knowledge-Action for Urban Systems.
