CARBSE's Research Associate receives a DGCA-approved Drone Pilot License

Tej Chavda, Research Associate at the Centre for Advanced Research in Building Science and Energy, CRDF has a master’s degree in Geomatics and is currently working on urban energy and 3D city modeling using drone imagery.  He has received a Drone Pilot international license issued by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) after clearing the Drone Pilot Training Certificate Program from Kaushalya the Skill University, Ahmedabad.  The Training consisted of theoretical, simulation, and drone flight tests.  The license will be valid for 10 years and permits flying UAVs of the small category (25 kg to 50 kg) under the provision of Rule 4 and 5 of The Drone (Amendment) Rules 2022.
