The Center for Heritage Conservation (CHC) led a week-long trip to Bela, Kutch in collaboration with Nottingham Trent University, Hunnarshala Foundation, and ICCROM. The activity was for digital documentation of village Bela as a part of the 3D for Heritage India project - 'A sustainable re-construction method for seismic-prone heritage areas of India based on advanced recording technologies.' CHC undertook a socio-economic survey of the village settlement followed by 3D laser scanning to understand the post-earthquake impacts on the traditional houses.
