Sun, November 10, 2019 Training Program

The Centre of Excellence in Urban Transport (COE-UT) is an implementing partner of the Efficient and Sustainable City Bus Services Project of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs supported by World Bank–GEF grants. The project aims at instituting more efficient and user responsive bus service plans, advancing fuel efficiency, and building capacities of city bus operators in best practices in low-carbon operations. As part of the program COE-UT will deliver trainings to bus operators of four city transport agencies, the Bhopal City Link Limited, Jaipur City Transport Services Limited, Chandigarh Transport Undertaking and Mira Bhayander Municipal Transport Services.

In October, COE-UT organized the first round of the trainings in Bhopal and Jaipur. The trainings covering more than 120 participants focused on technical aspects of fuel efficient driving and bus maintenance practices and also on general competencies of communication, behaviour and conduct. The next round of trainings is scheduled in November and December, 2019.
