Crafts Fellowship by DICRC

On it's mission of bringing together the fields of craft and design, the Design Innovation & Crafts Resource Center (DICRC) has been working with terracotta artisans in the village of Gundiyali in Kutch to explore possibilities of co-creating new products and interior architecture elements. As part of this larger programme that emphasises participatory processes,  DICRC in partnership with the Manthan Educational Programme Society instituted the Craft CoLABorative Fellowship that offered young designers an opportunity to immerse into the craft environment and work with a traditional potter family. The selected fellows have concluded their fellowship and developed a range of commercially viable products in collaboration with the craftspeople of Gundiyali. The products will be displayed at an upcoming exhibition titled ?????: spinning the wheel together.
