The Centre for Sustainable Cooling (CSC) is a consortium of international academic institutions to work with governments, industry, development agencies and NGOs to solve the cooling challenge. CEPT Research and Development Foundation (CRDF) has joined the CSC.

Through this global collaborative coalition, the CSC will develop new systems approaches to better manage cooling demand and deliver sustainable solutions to help the most vulnerable in our society. The CSC will integrate technology, policy, energy, social and economic factors in the problem-solving approach. Sustainable cooling is an important domain to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG 7) of the United Nations (UN) that aims to ensure affordable and clean energy to everyone by 2030.

"CSC provides an excellent platform to collaborate with the most knowledgeable researchers in the world to deliver sustainable cooling solutions suitable for India and the world." – Dr Yashkumar Shukla, Technical Director (Energy Systems), the Center for Advanced Research in Building Science and Energy at CRDF.
