CRDF signs MoU with Ahmedabad Traffic Police to research road accidents

CRDF signed an MoU with the Ahmedabad Traffic Police. This cooperation will advance research into road accidents, black spots in traffic movement, and capture and analyse Ahmedabad's geographical condition. 

The MoU for ‘Research and Scientific Cooperation in the area of Spatial Analytics and Transportation’, will research into the areas for the next four years. 

In June and July 2021, CEPT researchers conducted a study for GIS-based spatial-temporal analysis of urban traffic accidents and building 3D models for enhanced surveillance. The study facilitated the research the Center for Applied Geomatics, CRDF will conduct now. 

The research will include infrastructure surveys to improve road designs, the building of flyovers, and footpaths for pedestrians.
