CRDF signs MoU with PT-Teknik

CEPT Research and Development Foundation (CRDF) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PT-Teknik to advance research in the area of human thermal comfort, air conditioning engineering, human physiology and climate change and adaptation.

Centre for Advanced Research in Building Science and Energy (CARBSE) at CRDF is a leading research group working in the area of built habitat and energy. The CARBSE operates out of state-of-the-art research infrastructure aiding practice of energy-efficient built habitat by researching building material, construction, thermal comfort, low energy cooling system, information technology for building and urban energy domain. 

PT-Teknik is a world-leading manufacturer of a human thermal mannequin capable of accurately simulating a human microenvironment with the ability to heat, sweat and breath. The joint research to be carried out under MoU will deal with the thermal comfort of on-site construction workers, passenger comfort in public transport systems and air contaminant removal from the built spaces for better health and well being of the occupants.
