CUPP completes first training course on Design for Sustainable Affordable Housing

The Center for Urban Planning and Policy (CUPP) delivered the 1st training course on Design for Sustainable Affordable Housing.  The program, conducted in Pune, was sponsored by the Asian Development Bank and supported by IIFL Home Finance.  This two-day course touched upon several important concepts around Policy Implications for Design, Green Building Certification for Affordable Housing, and Active and Passive Design Strategies.  It also pushed for thought-provoking strategies on adaptations of unit plans for sustainability, the Role of Women today, and the future of Sustainable Affordable Housing.
