CWAS and SIWI present WASH Governance framework at World Water Week

CWAS has established a Water Governance Hub with Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI) under which a WASH Governance framework has been developed to strengthen Performance Assessment System (PAS).  At a session by CWAS, this framework was presented during the World Water Week 2021 by Arwa Bharmal and Panchali Saikia from CWAS and SIWI teams respectively.  A panel of global WASH experts from ADB, BMGF, SIWI, IRC and Kenya discussed their experiences on WASH governance.  The panel was moderated by Dr. Dinesh Mehta.  The discussions highlighted good practices and views on how urban WASH services can be improved around governance aspects such as financing, regulations, contingency preparedness, monitoring and citizen outreach.
