CWAS team member presents at Webinar on Understanding Septage Desludging Models

CWAS team member Aasim Mansuri presented at a global webinar organized by CSE on "Understanding Septage Desludging Models- What works and what doesn't?" on 23rd July. The webinar was attended by 800+ participants and discussed on-ground and successful models from India and other parts of the world. Aasim presented the successful case of scheduled desludging implemented in Wai and Sinnar cities. His presentation talked about the journey of these cities from urban laboratories to “light houses” for showing the way through the stages of government engagement, planning, funding, private sector involvement, three-year implementation, monitoring, impact assessment and finally scaling up through policies and guidelines in Maharashtra and at the country level.
