Dr. Sweta Rajpurohit joins CRDF as Environment Expert and Senior Researcher

CRDF welcomes Dr. Sweta Rajpurohit as Environment Expert and Senior Researcher. Dr. Sweta has 13 years of experience in climate change mitigation, climate resilience, environmental economics, forests and biodiversity conservation and sustainability. Previously, she was working with the Gujarat Ecological Education and Research (GEER) Foundation, Gandhinagar. At GEER Foundation, she worked on research, training, and implementation projects in forestry, environment and climate change.

Dr. Sweta has published many research papers, reports, action plans and a book. Among the major projects, she worked on is the Gujarat NAFCC Project sanctioned by MoEFCC, GoI, the Gujarat State Centre on Climate Change (under NMSKCC, DST, GoI), and GHG emissions estimation for the state of Gujarat. She is also a US State Alumnus under its prestigious International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) sponsored by the Bureau of ECA, US Department of States. Dr. Sweta has a PhD in Environment Economics from CEPT University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Forestry Management from Indian Institute of Forest Management and a Bachelor of Science from JNVU.
