Congratulations to the Center for Excellence in Urban Transport (CoE-UT), advisor for the Hubballi-Dharwad Bus Rapid Transit System (HDBRTS), for winning the prestigious Skoch Award 2021. The HDBRTS has won the Gold Award in Environment and Sustainability category. The 22.5 km corridor began operation on 2nd October 2018. It's funded by the Karnataka Government, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), World Bank and Global Environment Facility (GEF). CoE-UT played a lead role in the planning, preparation of the Detailed Feasibility Report, drawings of construction elements, and performance monitoring of the project. The BRTS has 100,000/day ridership and provides ease of living and travel time savings to the consumers.
