Nitika Bhakuni speaks at a panel on road safety

Nitika Bhakuni was invited to speak on a panel discussion on “Will Gujarat meet the Road Safety target of Half by 2020” organized by the Centre for Environment Education (CEE) on 23rd September. The discussion brought together public officials, representatives from Ahmedabad Traffic Police,  urban transport experts and citizen action groups to deliberate on the current status of road safety efforts and implementation of the amendments to the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. The panel was chaired by Dr. Kartikeya Sarabhai, Director, CEE, and also member of CEPT University's Board of Management. In her presentation, Nitika emphasised the role and importance of traffic regulation enforcements as a strategy to reduce accidents in cities.
