Paper on City wide inclusive sanitation through scheduled desludging services

Drawing on the work under a project on Financing and FSM services, CWAS has published a paper in the journal Frontiers in Environmental Science (vol. 7).  This paper, authored by Dr. Meera Mehta, Dr. Dinesh Mehta and Ms. Upasana Yadav, highlights the experience of two cities in India where a scheduled desludging model is being practiced. It is based on studies and on-field activities carried out by the team while providing technical support to the two cities, Wai and Sinnar (India), for the implementation of the Swachh Bharat Mission and improving sanitation services under a project funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
