Professor Jigna Desai, Head of Center for Heritage Conservation at CRDF presented on ‘Engaging with Cultural Heritage for a Sustainable Future: Thoughts on Equity, Agency and Proximity’ at the 1st International ARU Sustainable Futures Conference: Resilience to Extreme events. The Conference took place at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge on 21 June 2023.

It was designed to be interdisciplinary in nature and included researchers and practitioners in the area of cultural heritage, health and infrastructure. Professor jigna Desai's presentation was a part of the theme that looked at heritage driven interventions and sustainable innovation to protect culture and heritage from natural hazards by ensuring agency and empowerment making local communities and their places more sustainable and resilient.
