Stakeholder meetings around urban heritage in Agra

Stakeholder meetings around urban heritage in Agra

Wed, July 31, 2019 Meetings

As part of its ongoing advisory support to the Agra Municipal Corporation for conserving and managing urban heritage in Agra, the Center for Heritage Conservation (CHC) is  preparing a pre-feasibility report on management of heritage assets in the city. In July the CHC team met with the MPs and MLAs elected from Agra to present to them the ongoing study and build support for future heritage conservation efforts in the city. The team also reached out to other important stakeholders including the hotelier’s association, traders association and eminent citizens of Agra to discuss their findings and concerns about the city. The meetings provided valuable insights into needs, opinions and aspirations of different groups. Such consultations will help build an environment of engagement around heritage issues in the city.
