A new study by Council of Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW) titled 'Collaborative R&D for sustainable cooling in India: Institutional reforms to accelerate technology deployment' identifies two R&D projects carried out by CARBSE, CRDF out of total five projects identified by CEEW for the report, that demonstrates best practices adopted by the project to carry out collaborative R&D projects. These two projects are ‘Indo-US Centre for Building Energy Research and Development (CBERD)’ and ‘Global Cooling Prize’. The report contends that the best practices followed by identified projects be institutionalised as part of the R&D initiative at the national level. The report highlights the need to tap into the expertise available across research institutions, universities, government agencies, and industry to create a thriving ecosystem of collaborative R&D.
