Accelerating Sanitation for All in Asia and the Pacific – Sanitation Services Assessment in Nepal

The Center for Water and Sanitation provided technical support to the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for developing a plan for improved monitoring of urban sanitation services in Nepal. This project, under ADB's programme for "Accelerating Sanitation for All in Asia and the Pacific",  gave recommendations for streamlining data collection and strengthening monitoring systems for improved sanitation services. The recommendations were based on assessments of local capacity, norms and existing institutional structures done in consultation with local partners in Nepal and the Department of Water Supply and Sanitation (DWSS).
