The CoE-UT in association with the World Bank and with support from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), Government of India has been offering a capacity building program for senior and mid-level in-service transport professionals called “Leaders in Urban Transport Planning and Management” since 2012. The program is conducted in two phases over a duration of six months. Phase 1 involves six weeks of self-learning, followed by a six-day workshop in Ahmedabad. Phase 2 comprises of mentoring projects for about four months, followed by an international study tour.

A total of six programs have been completed and the 7th program is currently underway. As part of this program, about 250 participants from different parts of the country have been trained.
