The CoE-UT in association with the World Bank and with support from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), Government of India conducted a capacity-building program for senior and mid-level in-service transport professionals called “Leaders Program in Urban Transport Planning and Management” from 2012 to 2019.

The scope of work includes study material preparation, case teaching, presentation preparation, and dissemination. The eight-month program was structured into four modules:

  • Module 1: Six weeks of self-learning.

  • Module 2: A one-week workshop in Ahmedabad.

  • Module 3: Four months of mentoring projects.

  • Module 4: An international study tour to Southeast Asian cities such as Singapore, Seoul, Hong Kong, and Taipei, along with London.

A total of seven programs were conducted, training approximately 250 participants from across the country.
